	About The Fabric Loft, Inc. The Fabric Loft is a family owned business based on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The Fabric Loft was started in Milton, MA. in 1988 by Richard Elwell. The name of the company was South Shore Yacht Upholstery. He specialized in fabric sales, custom boat upholstery, and awnings. Over the years we have grown from boat upholstery to include furniture upholstery and the sales of bulk designer fabric. Today The Fabric Loft is one of the largest fabric stores in Massachusetts. We are also producing the highest quality products in the industry. Something we are very proud of and look to build on for years to come. Today Richard's oldest son Todd runs the company along with a wonderful group of decorators, upholsters, and office help. Our Design Studio is now open at 246 North Street in Hyannis!
